Foundation to donate money to Federation’s Injured Officers' Fund
A foundation set up in memory of Met PC Keith Palmer by his close colleagues is to donate proceeds from the sale of merchandise to the Metropolitan Police Federation’s fund for injured officers.
PC Palmer, a member of the Parliamentary and diplomatic protection command, was murdered outside Westminster during the terrorist attack that took place in March this year.
The KP foundation, set up by close friends and colleagues of Keith Palmer, is now looking to help the many other officers who have been injured in service.
A range of memorabilia – such as pin badges, patches - has been produced.
The Foundation said: "After discussions between the Palmer Family and the Metropolitan Police Federation, the family have generously nominated that all money raised by the Foundation thus far and any further money is to be used to assist injured police officers and have nominated the Metropolitan Police Federation injured officers fund."
With the foundation having already raised £5,000, which will be donated directly to the fund, there is now just a limited number of each of the memorabilia items left.
A spokesman for the Foundation said: “We would like to thank you for your continued support over the past few months and hope this support continues.”
