Police Officers from Hackney have clubbed together to let an 11 year old boy know that he was not alone, during what must have been a very dark time for him.
Following a call for concern from a third party, officers found the boy alone in very sad circumstances. They arranged for him to be taken into appropriate care but wanted to do more.
Together, they raised over £1,000 from their own pockets and bought the boy clothes, toys, games and books.
Finding out that the boy was an avid Arsenal fan, they also contacted the club who kindly donated replica training kit and clothing.
The force said: “We are incredibly proud of the team who went above and beyond to provide the young boy with some comfort.”
