Paula Dodds, Chair of the Metropolitan Police Federation, said: "Colleagues in London are facing yet another weekend of relentless demand - they will be viewing this reality with trepidation and frustration at yet more disruption to their personal lives.
"We've once again seen multiple Metropolitan Police officers be refused leave and have much needed rest days cancelled.
"Our colleagues have and continue to lose time with their families, friends and loved ones because they have been pulled into London to police protests and events. And this is on top of day to day policing.
"There are not enough of us. We must remember there are no "extra" police officers. Just the same hard-working ones having their days off cancelled, having to work longer shifts and being moved from other areas.
"Officers are emotionally and physically exhausted. We have come under attack and been violently assaulted for doing the job society expects of us. The demand is relentless.
"And it's not sustainable. What are politicians and senior police officers going to do to rectify this relentless demand our colleagues are facing?"
