Metropolitan Police Federation launches 2026 London Police Bravery Awards

The Metropolitan Police Federation are delighted to launch the 2026 London Police Bravery Awards.

The prestigious Awards Ceremony – at an iconic venue in central London - will take place in March next year, with award presentations recognising incredible officers from across the capital for their gallant acts, following a gala dinner.

It follows on from the incredible success of the inaugural event in April this year, where the courage of colleagues in the capital was rightly celebrated.

Taking on armed criminals, saving lives and incredible endeavours to keep the public safe will all once again be recognised- and there are some strong incidents already for the judges to consider.

From a long list, the three announced winners of The London Police Bravery Awards in March 2026 will go forward to be the region’s nominees for The National Police Bravery Awards in July 2026.

Colleagues who know of officers worthy to be nominated for The London Police Bravery Awards are encouraged to let their local Federation Representatives know or to encourage their Borough Commanders to nominate.

More information about the event and a growing list of sponsors will be revealed in coming weeks and months in the run up to the celebratory evening next year.
